At the first class of POD block I have took a lecture about the acute inflammation and how it happens. The acute Inflammation is the body's normal protecting response to an injury, irritation, or surgery. The Inflammation is split into acute inflammation, that happens over seconds, minutes, hours, and days, and chronic inflammation, that happens over longer times.

Stages in the acute Inflammation : Acute inflammation begins within seconds to minutes following the injury of tissues, The injury is a physical cause.
Three main processes occur: 1- Increased blood flow due to dilation of blood vessels 2- Increased permeability of the capillaries, leading to fluid and blood proteins to move into theinterstitial areas 3- Migration of neutrophils (and maybe some macrophages) out of the capillaries and venules to the tissues
